and sets a date with Morocco in the quarter-finals of the World Cup
Portugal crushed its rival, Switzerland, 6-1, thanks to its young striker Goncalo Ramos, who replaced superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, scoring a hat-trick to lead it to the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup at Lusail Stadium on Tuesday.

The Portuguese national team dominated the course of the game at the beginning of the match without much danger to the Swiss goal and from the first real opportunity, and after a joint game between Bernardo Silva and Joao Felix, the ball reached Ramos inside the area, so he fired it powerfully with his left.

The Swiss national team responded with a goal for its giant defender, Manuel Akanji (58).
But Ramos succeeded in scoring the hat-trick after receiving a perfect ball from Joao Felix, so he lured the goalkeeper and winked the ball over him (67).
Ramos became the first player to score a hat-trick since England striker Harry Kane against Panama (6-1) in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Ronaldo
Ronaldo replaced Ramos in the 74th minute and received a warm reception from the audience.
And he had the opportunity to score a goal from a direct free kick, but he hit the blocking wall (78), then scored a goal that was not counted by the referee for offside. Rafael Leao, the Italian winger of Milan, concluded the festival of goals in stoppage time.
