Portugal retains a place in the second round of the World Cup
The Portuguese national team has just won, at the expense of its Uruguayan counterpart, with two goals without a response, in the match that brought the two teams together in the second round of Group Eight of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
It was a really heated match, as there were many opportunities to score from both teams, and the star of many players who were playing their first World Cup shone.
Bruno Fernandez scored the double for the Portuguese national team, in the minutes 54 and 90 + 3, in a big team match between the two teams, but Portugal's defense managed to keep a clean sheet, to achieve its second victory in the world.
The cup is at the expense of the Uruguay national team, which received its first defeat.
With this result, Portugal qualified for the next round of the World Cup, as it occupies the top of Group H with 6 points, while Uruguay occupies the last place with one point.
